As I mostly played baccarat games, one myth that I wish would die is "If I lose 5 times in a row, I’m ‘due’ for a win!". As we all know, each event is independent of the previous results, which means it doesn't remember the previous results whether it's banker or player. The thing is when I played specially in land base casinos, there will be some pattern displayed by the casino themselves as if giving the players that there will be patterns and that if they could find it, then they are going to win big. Like the one below,
I guess this is also one strategy for casinos to mislead their players resulting on a big lose for most of us.
How about you guys? What's that one myth that you cringe everything you hear about it?
"Quitter never win, and winners never quit", this is one myth that commonly generalized as it applies to alot of things and activities which also includes gambling, and this myth is associated or directed at a gambler as a form of encouragement, I usually cringe and wish such believe never existed, because one thing I've come to believe is that sometimes, quitting is very good, most especially when you have been doing one thing for so long and you keep getting the same bad result (one can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result), you have to quit for that moment and take time to restrategize and come back better.
I cringe when ever I hear or read the mentioned myth anywhere because even though it sounds like it's true, it still have lead a lot of gamblers astray, as it encouraged them to keep gambling even when they should taken a break rather, they keep on going until they lose every penny they have or had.
