After a loss, I might spend a few hours thinking, "I wish it had happened this way, not this way, or that way, etc." But I forget about it after a while and start thinking about finding a new way to deposit more money. I think that many gamblers like me think the same way as other gamblers.
When a gambler loses, he does not turn away from gambling, but forgets the bad experience and starts gambling again. This is actually how a gambler thinks about gambling, but it does not mean that the gambler is addicted to gambling.
I completely agree with you and I think that one of the most obvious indicators that a gambler has become addicted to gambling is that he has constant intrusive thoughts that will probably even prevent him from sleeping at times.
And of course, the same applies to betting. If a bettor has placed a wrong bet and has put a lot of money into it, then of course, he will also worry and constantly think about one thought: "what if I had done it differently?"
When you cannot think clearly and those activities in gambling always comes up in our mind then we brought this thinking on our sleeping time then provably that we are already experience those unfortunate condition.
I experience this before and I always think about better strategy and maybe I can win huge tomorrow if I continue to play. But unfortunately those situation didn't happen and I end up in total messed.
That's why what I usually do is to gamble with intended amount which I can afford to lose so that even if I'm having a bad day I will not get affected and can move on easily with what I experience on my gaming time.
