In principle I do not agree that people should be red-tagged for political opinions, but when deaths are involved I see it as understandable to a certain extent.
Uh....politics and war and death all go hand in hand; the only thing that determines "when deaths are involved" is how many degrees of separation you want to take it when starting with politics. Note: I haven't read OP's posts, but in general LoyceV's quote from Theymos should apply to this situation.
That's my take on how the trust system
should be used, but of course we all know there aren't going to be any repercussions from Theymos or the mods if a negative is left because member X thinks member Z is involved in....the illegal love of horses (for example). What this could turn into is a bunch of people leaving counter-feedback and OP's trust page turning into a huge mess.
Hopefully if pooya87 left feedback that's against Theymos's diktat, he'll rethink it. He's been a solid member of the community for quite a while now and has been here over a decade. *Oh, I guess he already did remove it? That's what I get for writing before fully reading*
If I started tagging folks for their opinions then more then half the forum would have a red tag. It's just not needed, people can have an opinion you do not agree with. Just go on about your day and don't get upset if you don't agree with each other.
I was going to write something similar to this. Obviously this issue is very close to OP's heart, and he's on fire. But I would suggest to him, even if he doesn't like the suggestion, to remember that this is the internet and there are going to be a lot of people with contrary opinions no matter what the issue is and no matter how many deaths are involved. He should step away from the screen, take some deep breaths and realize that there's no way anybody can 'correct' anybody else's opinion through feedback or any other mechanism. That's a fact that just needs to be accepted.
And maybe stay away from posting about politics here. I'm not sure why anybody comes here and does that in the first place, because P&S is a section that's guaranteed to blow the mercury right out of the blood pressure machine for anybody reading it, and there are plenty of other places that might have stricter rules that could prevent OP from having a hypertensive crisis. Anyway, good luck OP.
