, it is not a do die affair beside it is suppose to be taken as fun not something we have risk some funds that we won't be emotionally alright with once we lose, I have come to level of the understanding that losing has been why some gamblers has become very uncontrollable in gambling, my observation is that, while they lose, they decide to go for more even more than they do but unknowingly to them that it wouldn't be a safe track to toll, it is better we abide by the roles, gamble with what you can afford to lose and nothing more.
The funny thing so many gamblers know this and yet still succumb to the pressure when that time of gambling comes and I feel the reason why it's hard for then to control is because of maybe one or two times that they might have been successful chasing after their losses and then recovered it with extra profits on top, trust me that feeling never gets old and it makes you as a gambler commit so many other errors that at the end you will end up regretting.
It boils everything down to self-control but as you have said it's the hardest part as this is a mental game for us. There will be days that we truly hate gambling because of the money that we have lost and promise to ourselves that we will stop gambling for good. But then again, after just a day, you felt that your day is not complete without gambling and so you are tempted to go back. And then the cycle repeats again. So yeah, it's really funny and it sounds like a broken record but we as human, maybe it's really part of our consciousness that it's really very hard to quit gambling.
