I have come across different topics here in the forum about how to store a seed phrase, what is the best way to store a seed phrase, and other topics like these. But my question is: do we need to teach people how to be secretive when it comes to seed phrases? Do we need to teach people the best way to store seed phrases? I think this is something that should be kept secret, and people need to look for the best way, unknown to anybody else, to store their seed phrases.
Yes it is important that people are educated about the different ways they can store their seed phrase, this gives them variety of ideas and options to choose. If not for bitcointalk, I wouldn’t have known that I can store my seed phrase in steel plates (which is a really good storage method btw). What is the danger that you’re so concerned about? Scammers and criminals have access to the internet and they have the access like everyone else to learn various ways to store one’s seed phrases but that doesn’t give them any leverage over you. If you don’t expose to the world that you hodl bitcoin, you won’t fall prey to physical attacks from criminals who want to steal your coins.
