Malaria and typhoid are not the same and it is the malaria sickness that brought out the symptoms of typhoid and from my understanding Op is saying the symptoms of gambling addiction as the gambling fever. Though this is the first time I am hearing the term but it is not hard to understand. In the addiction stage the person is also committed to gambling and can't do without it but I'm the fever stage it is the signs/road to the addiction stage.
What you said makes sense, and you conveyed it with a good analogy that was easy to understand. Gambling fever is a stage or sign that a gambler is not doing well, as they are entering a crucial moment in their life that may be difficult to control in the future, because the potential for gambling addiction is very high in the end. This is risky, considering that addiction can lead to financial ruin, which we often see in gambling.
