I have come across different topics here in the forum about how to store a seed phrase, what is the best way to store a seed phrase, and other topics like these. But my question is: do we need to teach people how to be secretive when it comes to seed phrases? Do we need to teach people the best way to store seed phrases? I think this is something that should be kept secret, and people need to look for the best way, unknown to anybody else, to store their seed phrases.

I feel that discussing how to store a seed phrase gives third parties and scammers a clue about how people store their seed phrase. I want to know, for the sake of beginners, do we really need to teach novices how to store seed phrase, what is meant to be secret? Or should they learn themselves the best way, which only they can remember and have access to their seed phrase.

Yes, you said it very well. The key to keeping a personal account secure is the seed phrase. There is no need to tell the public how much BTC we have deposited in our wallet. Rather, we need to keep our assets in our own custody. That is why we use seed phrases for security. Those of us who are experienced have kept our seed phrases in our own safe place. So that no one else can find them. Now we need to teach the next newcomers how to keep their seed phrases safe.

Everyone has a different mindset. They have a different way of keeping them safe. So we don’t need to teach anyone how to keep seed phrases safe. Because if everyone uses the same method, it won’t be a secret. We need to keep our seed phrases secret. Which only you will know. If someone else knows your seed phrase, there is a chance that your account will be hacked.

There are some things that beginners should avoid. Most of the time, beginners take a picture of their seed phrase and save it on their mobile. Then they forget where they put it. But if your picture falls into someone's hands, your account is gone. Similarly, keeping a picture of our seed phrase in someone's mobile, Google Drive, email or social media inbox is very risky. We should always avoid these things.
We should write our seed phrases the old fashioned way and keep them with us in a way that they are not lost or stolen. They should not be damaged in any natural disaster. They should be protected from burning in fire. They should also be protected from getting wet in water. Because if you don't have the seed phrase, then the coins in that account are not yours.
