To be honest, I am confused what's infofi but based on your description, I've seen projects that were like that before. And now where they are? I don't know, none of them sealed in my mind and it didn't got into the choice of the people.
I think what he said there is clear but if you still need more hint, this is like a social media campaign. Are you familiar with that? You know, similar to what we have here in the forum. Even though social media sites are still relevant but I think you are right that there is seem a decline on social media campaign now.
I think one notable is steem/steemit, if you happen to know that project, you can count that as an infofi, right? I don't even think that they're evolving because they seem the same and there's no actual need for any upgrade that we can see on it.
AFAIK it is not a social media but more like Medium. And then you can only get paid if your content gain a lot of upvotes. This is not just a simple upvote though but the upvoter must have a Steem power. An upgrade is of course acceptable and maybe there is still something fresh that we can see here like the interface. Even a simple thing like that might still motivate someone to get back on this type of activity again.
