The reason they vote for Trump is because he gave them an easy scapegoat for why they can’t buy nice homes and can’t feed their families without working multiple jobs while still having massive debt.
Instead of solving their problems, Trump actually ends up exacerbating them. Tariffs increase their cost of living and the few government benefits they did have are being taken away so a few billionaire owned corporations can extract more resources and get bigger tax breaks.
