The global race for Bitcoin acquisition among nations has not begun. We can conclude that we have gotten to the stage if nations start allocating funds from their yearly budget to Bitcoin purchases instead of depending only on seizures. There have been several legislative bills in different countries about establishing Bitcoin reserves, but none of them have been implemented. We are currently seeing the race between several corporate institutions as they diversify their assets.
This current administration is actually the one pushing for a bitcoin strategic reserve which is even yet to be implemented and if they do the begging question is, is it proper under rule of law to have seized assets as national reserve? Shouldn’t they be auctioned?
The laws are not the problem because they can be amended. Republicans have the majority in Congress, so Emperor Trump can always have his way if he is committed to establishing a Bitcoin reserve.
