I don't think Fenerbahçe is ready for the season. Their performance in friendly matches wasn't bad, but when it comes to Champions League matches, there's always a chance for a team to falter. This is one of the biggest problems with Turkish teams. If this had been a friendly, they might have easily won, but I think Fenerbahçe will struggle in this match.
I hope I'm wrong about this and Fenerbahçe wins this match to advance to the next round. I want to see a team that's successful in Europe now
I don't understand why these teams that are strong on paper like Fenerbahçe then in Europe can't really go forward or can't do consistent things or a path that takes them to the final or at least to compete with the best, I just don't understand it.
Actually, it's quite simple because competitions like the Champions League or Europa League are a collection of strong clubs from every domestic competition in Europe, so while Fenerbahce may be strong in their domestic competition, when compared to big clubs in other domestic competitions like the EPL, La Liga, or other competitions, the comparison is stark, and Fenerbahce would appear average in terms of both strength and player resources.
Therefore, this can serve as an answer, and it would be quite reasonable for other major clubs that are regular participants in the Champions League, such as Madrid, Manchester City, and others, to have a much higher probability of success compared to other clubs. It would even be a surprise if a club with a lower probability were to make a significant impact in the Champions League.
