Real Madrid is definitely not the same team as it was a few years ago. Remember, Real won three consecutive Champions League titles when Zidane was the head coach. I believe Xabi can motivate them and elevate the team to a higher level. They just need to stay healthy and be in top form.
Xabi will also want to be one of the proud coaches of Real Madrid, so he will definitely do great things for this team under his management. However, Real Madrid is a team that gives their coaches enough time to think of reshaping the team; once they see that their manager is not doing what he is supposed to or the performance is not how it is supposed to be, they change the coach and get in a new one to manage their squad,
and that is one thing I observe with Real Madrid management, which I can say is also a good thing to do. So as for Xabi Alonso, I believe he will try everything possible to make sure things go well during his stay in this club. Let’s wait to see till the season starts.
