It's incredible because Norway has Haaland, and it's incredible that the Viking can't take his team to the World Cup? That's something that's very impressive Italy has to go, I've loved Italy since I was little their style of football is one of the ones I admire most. But now that the quotas have been expanded, I imagine both could go to the World Cup The more good teams that go, the better.

If Norway is unable to qualify for the 2026 edition, then it will be tragic. Erling Håland is yet to play in a FIFA World Cup, and looks like that wait is going to get even longer. That said, we need to remember that the expansion of the World Cup from 32 to 48 teams hasn't really benefitted the UEFA confederation. Number of slots allotted to UEFA only went up marginally, from 13 to 16. The main benefactors have been AFC and CAF, two of the most under-represented confederations in the world cup.
