It's getting even worse, now they are slowly rolling out age-verification for more websites, with plans to enforce it on ALL internet traffic.
They again have fake-good intentions to protect children from bad internet, and they could do it also for illegal migrants.
That means they have plans to force all people to upload their ID document with image to be able to have internet access.
Now imagine using Bitcoin or anything else like that, and expecting to have some privacy

I've always thought about this. They may not make it as obvious as asking for age verification or requesting ID to visit the website, but instead, they will use corporations like Google, Microsoft or Apple and other companies that own browsers. Of course, they will make up an excuse. One day, you will need an ID to have an account on these platforms, and they will just have access to more and detailed data than they already do.
Of course, there will always be alternatives like Tor, but not a lot of people will use them, and with time, they will launch attacks against them just like they did with Bitcoin.
Funny enough, nobody talks about privacy more than the same people that take privacy away from people.
