I kinda feel sorry hearing that Alonso doesn’t think Rodrygo fits his style. Before Alonso took over as Madrid’s coach, Rodrygo was working hard helping out Vinicius and they managed to win La Liga and the UCL last season with Ancelotti. It’s not really about competing for spots, Alonso just wants to fix the squad because having too many top players is making the team’s performance shaky and teamwork a bit off. Letting Rodrygo go is what Alonso thinks is the best move, but honestly, I think that’s pretty worrying.
Practically this is to say that it does not matter how good a player is, a coach can find them.not fir for their strategy and would want them out of the team. Rodeygohas and still is a good and very hard working player who has put in his very best for the team before and during the arrival of xabi at the club World Cup tournament but somehow xabi still do not find him worthy of been in his squad and in such case leaving becomes the best option because if you stay back amidst all of that, you may be hurting your career which no player does want for their career. It may be worrying but that is what the coach see as fit enough.
