Arsenal spent only 65 million on Gyokeres. Would you call that a lot of money? Whereas we saw a striker like Antony who was bought by Manchester United a few seasons ago for 95 million. 65 million is not a lot of money for Gyokeres. He scored 39 goals and 7 assists last season. Liga Portugal is not necessarily as competitive as the Premier League. Maybe it was a little easier to score goals in Liga Portugal. But I don't see any reason to call scoring 39 goals in a season a bad performance.
Give Gyokeres enough time. If he can gradually adapt himself well to the Premier League, we will see better performances from him. I have seen Gyokeres' performances in several matches. He is capable of playing well. I think Arsenal will not face losses by spending 65 million on Gyokeres.
I would, why not? Arsenal wasted 65m pound to him, which is not even worthy with his price. He's being benched whole time in Brighton, then performed better after he went to the non competitive league. Are you calling his 39 goals in non competitive league worth his price?
They could get osimhen by adding some millions, but refused it. They don't seem have sporting director atm.
Premier League teams are buying every player at a high price. We have seen this for many years. Can a player who has scored 39 goals and provided 7 assists in a season be bought for less than 65 million? We have seen the transfers of Liverpool and Manchester City. They spent a lot more.
I agree that Osimhen is definitely a better choice for Arsenal. Because we have seen Osimhen's excellent performance with Napoli. Arsenal would have spent around 75 million for Osimhen. And Osimhen had the ability to adapt to the Premier League quickly. However, I don't think Gyokeres will fail with Arsenal. Given enough time and opportunities, Gyokeres' performance will gradually improve. At the same time, looking at other transfers in the Premier League, I don't think 65 million is a huge amount for clubs.
