Well there is possibility that crime may increase in an area that calamity has just happened, but there is no association between calamity and a higher chances of crime. There is no reason justifiable for crime to be associated with calamity, but the fact is that poverty rate will increase after calamity hit an environment and the rise of hunger will increase crime. But ok people can still survive without crime after such thing happen. Those that practice crime are already criminal,they are just looking for an opportunity to explore themselves.
