Here it's possible to get for 10x of that price, although you have to sacrifice many thing like e.g. far from city, bad location, narrow road, etc.maybe he paid down-payment and the rest he has to pay in installment for next 10 years or something
You're correct, most people in this country usually claim themselves they've bought a house even though they didn't fully paid in cash.
