No, my friend, I think you are wrong. In Indonesia, the amount mentioned is quite a lot, enough to buy a house like that. However, I don't think the house is located in a major city center, so the story is very plausible. Even in my area, with half the value (around 0.035 Bitcoin, or around $4,500), we could buy a fairly large house. So, I don't think the OP's story is a hoax. And, just to add, some foreigners like to play in Indonesia, especially in Bali (fyi: Bitcoin ATMs are available in that area), because they feel that things in Indonesia are cheap, and I often see this from the social media content circulating.
