The US could be one election away from taking a 180 degrees turn. In the EU, it doesn't seem to matter who you vote for, they continue on the same path no matter what.

That's right, and that's the tragic part, but I don't want to be too pessimistic before things happen. Although I hope that if the Republicans win, the next president will be less controversial than this one, who I understand many people don't like. He's not my cup of tea either, but measures such as the ban on CBDCs have been vitally important.

The Bank of England is considering abandoning the CBDC project, mainly because it will not be useful for trading with the US, unlike the ECB, which seems to be accelerating its headlong rush forward.
