But earlier, I was surprised when I opened the app to gamble because it now required me to take a selfie before proceeding. I’m thinking this might be part of the government’s move to ensure minors can’t gamble. Do you think this is a good first step?
If gambling is allowed by the government then it can be a good thing but if it is not done then taking a selfie can be a hindrance to a person's security. Now if taking a selfie is used to identify whether he is an adult or a minor, how logical will it be? Some minor gamblers get someone else to take their selfie and then they can gamble themselves. In my opinion if every gambler's selfie is taken when KYC is done and if it is done when they place a bet then there will be some positive effect in using such a strategy especially so that minors cannot get involved in gambling. It is really a good imitative.
