The attraction that the audience has for watching Test matches after watching all these Test matches will be lost in the future. If such a Tier 1 team is played against a Tier 3 team in the future, then the cricket audience will not go to watch any match. So ICC should schedule Test matches among all the teams that people are interested in watching Test matches. If ICC schedules Test matches among such disparate teams, then at some point cricket fans will lose interest in Test matches.
The main issue here is that Zimbabwe is a tier-1 full member of the ICC, and thereby hold voting powers. On the other hand, associate nations such as Netherlands and Nepal doesn't have the voting right. This means that their bargaining power with the full member nations are limited. And this is the reason why we get repeated one-sided matches involving Zimbabwe, while the other teams hardly get any matches against the full members. This system need to be changed. Zimbabwe can't be given priority status with such shitty performance on field.
