It is a report from Ethnologue.

You can see the report here: https://www.ethnologue.com/insights/ethnologue200/

It is the 14th most spoken language in the world right now.

The report is for all countries in the world. Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo and other languages are also there. Visit the above link to search if the language that you are speaking is there, but I think just English, Pidgin, Hausa, Yorùbá and Igbo are there that is related to us.

Isn't the 120.7m for Pidgin English underestimated? Tha value alone should be from Nigeria of over 200m population where more than 70-80% understand and speak Pidgin English as second language and we still have other West Africa countries that also speaks and understand English pidgin so I think it should be up there in Top10.

Hausa language is another language that is widely spoken across Africa by millions.

I agree with you because if you look at the most populated nations in the world, Nigeria is ranked sixth, and practically almost everyone speaks and understands pidgin, so that 120.7 million is surely underappreciated because Pidgin is the most spoken language in Africa.

I speak Hausa, and I must admit that I'm shocked and amazed to see hausa ranked 19th. I searched into how this could be possible, and I discovered that the majority of the bordering countries Niger, Ghana, Cameroon, Chad, and Benin speak Hausa. Although I've heard from history that Cameroon was once a part of Nigeria.
