That's a flawed mindset, and I don't think gambling addiction is dangerous for adults, as long as they can control their finances and emotions, so there won't be any negative consequences.
It's important to remember that gambling is simply a game for fun, not for money. If that's ingrained in the mind, a person won't do everything just to win and expect money from gambling. Financial and emotional control can be achieved if we realize that it's just entertainment. This only applies to adults with the right mindset, and I believe even that percentage of such individuals is small.

I couldn't fully agree with you. Because you say that those who are adults will have no problem if they gambling.   In this case I can tell some of my real life events. There is a man in my clan who is addicted to gamble and currently he is 45 to 50 years old (approximately). We advised him to get out of my family many times but he could never get out of it.  He even has two daughters, never worry about them. What is in the future of her daughter child and they have to meet the needs properly.
Those who lose their self-control over themselves can no longer be normal we call them addicts. In the case of gambling, many people are seen who are addicted to gambling. They forget their family and focus only on betting. At some point, the gambler loses money and becomes even more depressed. There are some gamblers who try to gamble even if they borrow money. In short, if you are addicted, anything is possible for a gambler. From my point of view, if you cannot control yourself, then gambling is not for you. Quit gambling as soon as possible. Keep yourself busy with something else.
When the loss rate is high during gambling, we often do not promise to play but we have to involve ourselves in gambling again for the sake of mental desire and entertainment. If you become addicted and are struggling to recover the lost money then you are in a mistake because failures can never be recovered but you can reduce the number of losses by gaining experience and maintaining discipline in gambling. Self control means that you can stop gambling in any situation. If you do not have the ability to control yourself, you will gradually reach the stage of addiction and this is the beginning of the final downfall of a gambler. In my opinion, it is better to try to practice patience, discipline and self-control than to quit gambling because getting entertainment is part of your mental needs.
