You are right too, but would there be an option for BTC? I don't think so..
In an ideal world, it should be possible. On the other hand, I don't think it's impossible for a merchant in a 3rd world country to accept crypto (especially in a tourism spot) unless the government explicitly jails them if they do that. Then again, whether you can pay your rent with Bitcoin or not isn't a deal breaker for me because it doesn't represent other things I can do with it (like buying digital stuff).That seems nice, however, as it was stated, the prices there would be probably high enough for everybody to consider other options too 
Not like you have to move to those cities just becaus eyou want to use your Bitcoin.
