I don't see Liverpool winning premier League this season, they would possibly finish second. Letting Diaz to leave the club was the biggest summer mistake. Individually, Diaz will be happier and would enjoy playing along side Kane who would always receive any cross. Improving his salary would have been a good option for Liverpool but they chose business over the game itself.
What does choosing business over the game mean? So you think they should extend a player contract who's nearing his prime age instead of rejuvenating the squad with a younger player with a higher ceiling? Do you think they should keep Fabinho and Henderson when they were out of their legs a few seasons ago, then? They also bring in Wirzt, Frimpong, Kerkez, etc. It isn't like they lose their core players and don't replace them at all. From their pre-season games, it is clear they're using Wirtz and Salah as the creative outlet to replace TAA.
