The situation with Beasley is quite strange. He performed well last season, averaging 16.3 points per game, and as far as I know, the Pistons were negotiating with him to sign a three-year contract worth $42 million. But in the end, the signing of this contract stalled due to the investigation against Beasley.
His team won't let him sign after his involvement in gambling. Because it might compromise his performance also while being with the team.
In fact, it's currently unclear whether he has any future in the NBA at all.
There is no future for him anymore in the NBA. And I think even in the overseas leagues, it's unlikely that some team even for a season will sign him. These people have given the best deal of their lives while many of us have dreamt of it and some are still chasing their dreams to play for an NBA team and have these contract but they have wasted it.
