As I understand his statement, he meant that odds provider the one that making odds and giving data to sportsbook which offer to consumers for betting is already paying money to the league.
heres how it goes,..

Oddsmakers (like Sportradar) get their data from sports leagues, and those leagues get paid for it. The oddsmaker then supplies the data to the sportsbooks and gets paid by them.

So the sportsbook doesn’t pay the sports league directly, only the oddsmaker. They each have their own transactions. We can’t really conclude that sports leagues profit from sports betting itself, only from the data they supply, since they’re guaranteed a fee regardless of the sportsbook’s results.

There are both profitable and non-profitable sportsbooks, but oddsmakers are guaranteed payment for the information they provide, just like the sports leagues.

Sportsbook is not directly incentivizing the league but they do share profit to them through odds provider.

I’m not sure about that, because if there’s a profit-sharing setup, it could create bias and hurt the league’s reputation. We don’t want it to be seen that way, which is why whatever agreements they have are usually kept private. The typical sports bettor has no idea about it, we only know the sportsbooks where we place our bets.

What I’m trying to explain above is that it shouldn’t be mixed up or directly stated that sports leagues are benefiting from sportsbooks, because it doesn’t look good. If gamblers see that, they’ll start questioning the credibility of the games, and that’s when speculation about fixed matches starts.
