Concerning the Ademola Lookman and Atlanta saga, the president of the club Lucas Percassi has come out to say something. He admitted that PSG offered €20 for Lookman and he asked the club to sell him but the club refused and instead said they will let him go this summer but under two conditions that he himself set.
1. He will move to a top European club
2. He will not put on any other jersey in Italy apart from Atlanta jersey.
I don’t blame Atalanta for wanting such conditions to be considered because they are about losing their star player and are being careful not to sell to league rivals so the deal does not backfire, they will rather sell to a team abroad. This is a wise decision in my opinion that if they must sell to an Italian club it has to be for a good fee. However I also feel a fee around 40 million isn’t a bad deal for a player of Lookman’s quality and will suggest Inter Milan just pay the money and get the player.
Why will they be attaching such a condition to a player who wants to move to a team he finds better than where he has been, I taught they were supposed to let him go freely and not trying to condition him to their demands and the 40 million is not a bad fee, it is a reasonable fee enough for lookman , a fee that is not considered too high or low but fair enough for other teams to want to pick up the deal.
