I am not sure about the eligibility criteria for a Nobel Prize but what I can say for sure is they are f**king rich now that is their reward for contribution to the idea of decentralized monetary system in the early days when people were just criticizing it or said it's bubble and blah blah...
I am sure, if not others but Satoshi should be rewarded a Nobel Prize under finance or economics category because he successfully combined the blockchain technology and brought the idea of decentralized money into the reality and now here we are after 17 years the prize went skyrocketing and no government can ignore bitcoin as nothing and even they want their own chunk in their reserves so it's big achievement and deserves for the contribution.
Do you believe something should happen like this, or are Bitcoin holders already rewarded due to the current Bitcoin price?

Those that were mining Bitcoin at the earliest stage are either close associates or Bitcoin creation or part of the dev team.
Not everyone, especially in 2010 after the Slashdot mention about bitcoin random nerds tried bitcoin mining as hobby and they are not involved with the development of bitcoin in anyway because back in the day mining was possible with an average home PC.
