Whoever owns the early BTC deserves a Nobel Prize in delayed gratification. - Elon Musk

What do you think? I believe honestly it does make sense, and he has a point as well. Just imagine the situation during Bitcoin creation; there was just zero adaptation. Most people don't trust it and criticise it. But only a few people mined or bought Bitcoin in such a situation. There wasn't much social media to reach more people; the condition was really complicated if you compare it to now. I really appreciate their patience and convictions for Bitcoin. If there were any categories for financial patience and conviction, then early Bitcoin holders should get the Nobel Prize.

Do you believe something should happen like this, or are Bitcoin holders already rewarded due to the current Bitcoin price?

Elon Musk posted this tweet back in February 2019. I thought that this is a recent tweet(by looking at your thread title). Good job at click baiting, OP. Grin I don't remember Elon Musk talking positively about Bitcoin before the COVID era(2020-2021). Grin
The people, who bought/mined BTC 13 or 14 years ago and are still HODLing BTC represent a really small elite group. I do believe that the people, who made Bitcoin the best performing financial asset in the world aren't the old school HODLers. It's the newbie investors and the crypto noobs, who helped the most in boosting the price of BTC and it's global recognition. I also don't believe that any of the early BTC adopter would have expected the BTC price to hit 120K USD.
