I was impressed with Arsenal performance yesterday and they won Bilbao on a clean sheet without any problem. I have always seen Gyokere as a player that will add more value to Arsenal attack and the entire team, because they will be able to make proper use of the ball if Arsenal is attacking their opponents. We would hardly see wasted chances in Arsenal games. However, Bilbao is not a match for Arsenal.
Arsenal knew of their weakness and proactively tried to fix it in this summer by purchasing Gyokeres who had a promising start with them. The player will need more time to fully adapt to Arsenal and maximize his contributions for the team. Anyway the good beginning is truly helpful for Gyokeres to avoid unnecessary pressure and minimize criticisms on him.
The same Gyokeres that was criticized on scoring aerial goals, opened his first goal for Arsenal with a rocket. Yesterday my friend made an interesting statement, he said "Gyokeres scored a Havertz type of goal while Havertz scored Gyokeres type of goal. I like the fact that Arsenal has two options for strikers, if not three because Merino has been doing a great job there. And all of them are a threat.
He will need to deal with criticisms and presssure as well as a lot of expectation but his debut is good and his future with Arsenal is quite promising. He surely will have to try a lot, do many things in order to succeed with Arsenal but he did not join this big club for failures. Arsenal and Gyokeres are aiming at a successful seasons with titles together.
To succeed with Arsenal, Gyokeres will need not only scoring goals for the club but also combining and supporting his teammates well in order to make a strong and balanced team for Arsenal. It's important to be competitive enough and win big titles against many strong, experienced and ambitious competitors.
