Isn’t that kind of stressful?

So again, why bother with a parlay if you’re just going to cash out early? Doesn’t that kinda show you’re not really in it for the challenge? I mean, if the parlay hits, that would’ve made your day. And if it loses, that’s fine too since you already knew the risk. But when you cash out and it still wins? That’s where the real regret kicks in.

Many people bet mainly to feel the thrill of the game, even if they neglect that feeling and focus on the money. That's why they make this kind of decisions, they enjoy that stress. If that's the case and you know it, it is much better to be aware and accept that you gamble for fun, and act accordingly. And never let that thrill-seeking lead to make decisions that are too risky.

I think that I'm in between: I accept that I bet mainly for fun, but when I make a decision, for example in a multibet, it is final. What you say about cashing out and thinking what could've been if you didn't is too stressful for me. Much better to stick to the plan, for a greater peace of mind: at least, you did what you rationally thought since the beginning, and that's right even if it wasn't the best choice in hindsight.
