Saying Leverkusen is the second best team, even with 8.00 odds, is crazy to me. It is clear that they are not going to be second, I mean no matter the odds, if they are second in the list then they are second, and that is not going to happen.
We are seeing a team that will have hard time putting themselves into top four this season, and yet we are saying that we are seeing a much worse situation here. It's clear that we are going to end up with a much better result here, so it can't be really that much of a big problem. If we can handle all of this as a good way to improve, then we could do a lot better for Leverkusen, like if they get some more, but they are not. So the team they have is not good for the top place.
Top players leaving and there haven’t been any major signings coming in so i understand your frustration with Bayer Leverkusen plus the pre season actually shows that they are having problems and if they don’t resolve such problems now, I see lots of fans already throwing Erik Ten Hag under the bus and saying he won’t last a season before they sack him, seriously I don’t object that if he doesn’t do well he might get the exit. But people need to actually put in a constructive criticism, no manager will make Instant impact in a club that actually changes his best players and yet to replace them it will be definitely hard to implement his pattern, so the manager needs time.
As for the second spot I kind of agree with the bookmakers here, I think that’s how this should be as things stands in now, the only two teams ideally I see rivaling Bayer Leverkusen is Dortmund and RB Leipzig, sincerely if we look at the current squad of both teams I don’t think they are better than Bayer Leverkusen. They can be an argument for Dortmund but definitely not for Leipzig with all this departures
