The rumors of Rodrigo leaving the club were very strong, so I thought that maybe this star would leave Real Madrid for another club this season, but now that Rodrigo is getting a chance to play in the main XI of Real Madrid in the format you have created, it is really surprising. How can he get a place in the main XI when the club clearly told him to look for another club. If Rodrigo does not go to another club, he may still have to sit on the side bench...
Tbh, I was 100% sure Rodrigo was packing his bags this summer — the gossip was non-stop, and the club wasn’t exactly defending him in the press. Looked like classic “thanks for your service, now find a new home” vibes.
But football’s all about plot twists, sometimes the “look for another club” line is just the board trying to shake you up. If he’s smashing it in pre-season and actually fits the new formation, the gaffer might just keep him in the XI.
