So here’s the question, do you believe the league itself could be the mastermind, doing this to beat the betting public? And if this is really happening but can’t be proven, what’s our approach as bettors to still make a profit from it?

The the leagues and the clubs are already making billions soft dollars legitimately by selling tickets to their matches, selling broadcast rights for those matches and not even mention the merchandise and collectibles associated with the teams and star players of the most reputable clubs in the world. Would it be actually about money? Because they already have a very liquid and huge business, without scamming and scheming against the betting population of the world, you know.
I am not saying it is impossible, people who have money always wants to have more, after all, but it is very unlikely.

Besides, we would be talking about an scandal with hundreds of people involved, players, trainers, staff members and club owners. A secret of that size being shared among so many people would not stay a secret so much time.

At least that is my opinion.
