Congratulations to Crystal Palace for winning this year’s community shield trophy, they have gone against all odds to defeat Liverpool after defeating Manchester City to win the FA cup trophy last season. I must commend Oliver Glasner for a great job with this Palace team and the goalkeeper Dean Henderson for his heroic performance to help Palace achieve this milestone.
It was a good game to watch, crystal palace knew they would stand a very big chance to win the community shield if they can take the game to penalty and that exactly why they did. In both goals Liverpool defense was left open, I think Slot need to fix that if he really want to retain the premier league this season. Before the penalty incident, a breaking line pass was use to break Liverpool defense mateta was through, he didn’t score but sarr was able to keep the ball alive and van dijk caused a penalty.
