It's very difficult to juggle the UCL and Serie A. Some teams play with two different rotations. Inter did this last year. Perhaps this affected the mentality of the Inter Milan players at that time, causing them to miss out on two excellent opportunities: a chance to win the Champions League trophy and also a chance to win the Serie A trophy last season. The fierce competition between the two competitions is unbalanced, as the tension in the Champions League is always tougher and more challenging for all teams. Therefore, the rotation of players required by the team will also affect tactics. But for next season, Inter Milan can still try a slightly different tactic than last season so that they can advance further in the Champions League and return to competing as title contenders in Serie A.
The Serie A race also exhausts teams in the UCL. Take the French league, for example. Paris Saint-Germain was able to declare the championship early, allowing them to focus entirely on the Champions League, while Inter continued to race against Napoli for the title until the final week. This forced them to field key players in both tournaments, putting them under extra strain. Had Inter been able to claim the title as early as they did in the French league, their performance against Barcelona might have prevented them from giving Paris Saint-Germain a chance to win the title.
