You'd agree with me that it's not the fault of PSG that the other clubs have refused to sit up, rather they prefer to remain in the position they are in as long as when the next season comes they'd qualify for the champions league competition. Chelsea made us understand that PSG can be beaten. Bring their game to them and you'd see a confused club but not many of the other French teams want to take this bold step so when as a formidable side you don't have a competition, you would have no choice but to rule.
Understanding that PSG can be beaten is no new thing because except last season where they got epic in their performance, PSG has not been a great champions league team except that they always have an appearance in the champions league every season.  In Ligue 1 other teams have been unable to bring to PSG some sort of challenge where they will be played with their own style and I see that the PSG dominance in the Ligue 1 can be used as advantage by other teams but they probably do not know how to use it.
That's my point. PSG only find challenge in European competition but when it comes to their domestic leagues, it's a walk in the park for them. I used to think that Monaco and Marseille would pose a challenge to them but for the past two seasons these two ha e just been content to be runners up. As for last season, there came a time when Monaco should have pressured PSG, but I can't fathom why they dropped.
The earlier these other clubs in the Ligue 1 sit up and realize that they too can lift the trophy, the better else it would make PSG look so dominant that it would make them not put too much effort in winning games since they'd have it in their minds that no team can stand up to them.
These teams may be in second and third place in the points table, but they can never be a big obstacle for PSG. PSG wins the local league title every season very comfortably and PSG has a very large point gap with their closest rivals. If the team at number one in the points table has such a point gap with the team at number two in the points table, then we cannot call this gap a tough competition at all. These teams start the competition with the same players every season, as a result of which their performance does not change much from other seasons. The way the French League competition ended last season, the same will happen next season, that is, PSG will win the local league title with a lot of lead over other teams and with a few games in hand.
