Since it's a pre-season cup, it's not worth putting too much weight on Liverpool, but Crystal Palace gave them a good lesson. I wasn't expecting them to fight for the title with the same hunger and excitement this season anyway. Although Slot is trying to play the same game, they've already shown the first signs -especially Salah- that they won't be as good as last season. Wirtz and Frimpong made their debut and they were quite good. However, the rest of the team couldn't keep up with them. Like many champion teams, they also seem to have some complacency.
Last season, Liverpool simply continued the squad that Klopp had carefully built and assembled.
I must say I love this statement. Many had forgotten the past, but I will not. Fine, the glory of the last season's victory will go to the name of Arne Slot, notwithstanding, we should not forget the effort of Klopp in building the club the way Arne Slot met it. And of course, Arne Slot did his part with a few adjustments. I wonder why Klopp left when the club was back on its feet again, the glory would have been his.

This season, he has added several new players and made some strategic changes. [/quote]But I think the results have been quite good, although some weaknesses have begun to emerge in Liverpool's defense. This may be due to the departure of one of their key defenders, and his replacement isn't as good as the departed player.

I agree, Liverpool, though still on course, is not as dreadful as it was in the last season's EPL. But we can't use the lower tournament to judge, the EPL season will start this week to judge the club. Honestly, I expected more from them against Crystal Palace yesterday in the Community Shield game.
