I don't know if this has happened to you much, but I usually play slots from time to time and when I get free spins I usually win something, sometimes more, sometimes less, but I always win. Today I got two rounds of 10 free spins playing Wild Bounty Showdown, and in the first one I didn't win anything, while in the second one I won about $0.34 (playing $0.20 spins). I felt a bit silly, because getting free spins is cool, it's usually exciting, and I've won some good big wins a few times.

Has anything similar happened to you?

Throughout my gambling hobby, I have won many free spins, but never much money from it. Often I got spins by participating in poker tournaments, often just for registering in new online casinos. I made different bets per spin, sometimes even huge ones, but as if by magic, I immediately stopped winning anything. The lines did not form a row that could bring me a win.
But when I reduced the bet size per spin, I immediately got small winnings, but it was never more than five dollars. I do not think that the casinos control this, but it is strange that everyone says that they never won good amounts in free spins.

I also think that online casinos are unlikely to rig the odds and use free spins as something separate in terms of winning odds, unlike regular real money play.
One might imagine that someone would want to test this and play for a few hours with the lowest stakes per spin to see if winnings on real money slots are any different from spins with bonus money.
But this is hardly possible because if in such an experiment one of these accounts wins a lot of money at once, this will greatly violate the purity of the experiment.
