Bitcoin's scarcity isn't just a digital artifact; it's a marvel of social consensus engineering.
Even scarcer technologies may emerge in the future, but their value will be challenging to replicate.

Anyone is free to create their own blockchain based crypto project, thousands have already.

the OP can create their own project with a limited supply of 1,000,000 for example but I can
guarantee that there will be ZERO value because of 2 key features or the lack of them . . .

1. True decentralisation

2. "The creator" has to either disappear or at least relinquish control of the project after its
launch or shortly after.

After successfully completing those two steps the project has to have a dedicated development
team and be willing to go the long haul for at least 10 years because value doesnt happen
instantly.

Next you would have to convince all of us to switch from a proven 100% secure network to
something new and un-proven.
