What do you think about the network states perspectives?

Still science fiction, but with the advance of technology it could happen. It would take a literal revolution by people who wished to overthrow the their centralized government and change it in favor of a decentralized one, though.
Also, you must keep in mind those kinds of system of governance would require a majority of the population (perhaps even all of it) to have internet connection, so each one of the people living under that model can interact with the network / their government.

If the network is being controlled by an artificial intelligence of some sort, then it would be quite dystopian from the beginning to the very end.
