You can post link to images, no need to upload images on the forum itself. You can't do that anyway before reaching at least Jr member rank here. You can buy copper membership also but it is totally optional (and since your are looking for free contests...  ) 
I am recently using hostmeme.com for uploading images, you can also try that. Good luck
