I couldn't figure out your stance here, as you sounded both sarcastic and straightforward at the same time.

Well, history has shown that preseason could be used to judge the winner, and it has failed in many cases as well. This is why we are waiting for the actual tourney to start. However, Bayern will always be the most preferred winner, especially with the inconsistent performance of Leverkusen and the departure of their hero coach Xabi Alonso. I don't have so much faith in Erik ten Hag.
You're right pre season games doesn't justify how a team will perform that season although most times when a team performs well in pre season they are likely to do well but it's not the same with when a team doesn't perform well. A team with bad performance in pre season can grow better as the season progresses and it could be the case with Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern Munich are the favorites and I don't even see any team mounting them pressure as Leverkusen did during the time of Alonso. Losing Alonso, Wirtz and a few will definitely affect their performance this season.

Eric Ten Hag may not have proven so much in the preseason that he is the perfect man for the managerial role for next season, but since we can’t use preseason matches to equate to how managers will perform during the season, we just have to give him a chance to prove himself worthy of the position when the season begins.
I just know as the season progresses Leverkusen will get better but I am not counting them as a title contender this season they just have to make sure they are not so bad and make sure they qualify for the champions league.
