what device similar to the nano s would any recommend for long term storage, rn i have a usb setup with veracrypt and electrum, im unsure whether my current setup is very good any recommendations or feedback are appreciated.
If you need a hardware wallet with multi-currency support then I would also go for a Trezor as previously recommended by other users. You should know though that Trezors are different from Ledgers when it comes to the cryptocurrencies they support. All Ledger devices support the same coins and tokens, regardless of the model. What's different about them is the internal memory and the number of apps you can have installed at the same time. With Trezor, the app support differs for each model. If you have altcoins or plan to hold some on your Trezor, take a look at Supported Coins & Tokens to see if the device you plan to buy supports them.
