Manchester City suffered heavily last season, one of the reasons was the absence of Rodri and it added up to their poor performance last season but I believe they have made provisions for that position. I also believe without Rodri Manchester City can still be a strong team they cannot depend on him forever.
It can't be that Pep Guardiola hasn't made provision for a replacement of Rodri concerning what his team had to go through from struggling with winning games to losing their first place in the EPL to Liverpool. This new season Rodri absence would be of no consequence as am sure Pep must have tackled that using the transfer window to put his team together.
Manchester City's performance never depends on any one player, and that was proven last season. Although they couldn't defend their Premier League title, at least Manchester City remained at the top of the table, finishing in the top three.
Pep Guardiola knows what he has to do, and I don't think anyone doubts that. To oversee next season, we can see that Pep has brought in several players. As before, Pep Guardiola always brings in players who are considered suitable for his style of play. Regarding Rodri's injury and the departure of captain Kevin De Bruyne, I think Pep Guardiola has already considered this, and of course, he is already looking for suitable replacements.
