Do you know someone who is super cheap even when they may be well-off?
Such people must know that hardware wallets are not the only ways to store bitcoins safely. They can use open source non custodial wallet softwares like Bitcoin Core, Electrum wallets and store their bitcoins safely as well.
It's only they must learn and know how to use wallets.
They must know that if they want to buy and use hardware wallets, they must afford to spend money to purchase good hardware wallets from official stores. If they want to save money, purchase used hardware wallets or from unofficial stores, anywhere on Internet, they will not only use money but also lose bitcoins.
