I agree with you to the end about this. Luck has nothing to do with Inter's success in the Champions League last season. They reached that stage with a huge effort. We all know the way they eliminated the best Barcelona of the recent years. 
Just because PSG found a way to defeat them we shouldn't say it was luck for Inter. They did this in the 22/23 season too. Maybe they left the pitch in a sad mood in both finales but this still doesn't change the fact that they did a great work in both years.

However, on the bigger note, they achieved a remarkable achievement, reaching the final, only to be thwarted by PSG. Inter Milan is not an inconsistent team, but they always give their all to win. Last season, Inter Milan also led the Serie A standings for a long time until finally giving up because Napoli were more consistent. Last season's failure led to the resignation of their coach, and this season, Inter Milan is turning a new page with Chivu, and I believe the Scudetto is Inter Milan's top priority this season.
