The competition between players for starting spots will actually be very beneficial for the team, as each player has a strong desire to get playing time, so they will have to go above and beyond to perform at their best.
I don't know why people normally feel like they're hating on them for being criticized on a particular thing; football is a team sport and the comparison remains a promising factor if the team must stay strong.. They sold out Thomas partey for the same reasons, and they now have replacements that are stronger and smarter than the old ones.
Regardless of who Arteta chooses, with the current crop of options, I'm quite optimistic about Arsenal's attack next season.
Why? When you have Saka, martinelli, Gyokeres and Kai haverts on the flanks and striking positions? I doubt.
And as for Gyokeres, he's a quality player Arsenal fans have high hopes for. I hope the high expectations don't hinder him from performing at his best for Arsenal.
I just hope the hype from the Internet don't drive him crazy; the media is good at creating a personality/ celebrating an achievement way different from what it is.
